  • Dr. Ali Hamdan Al Balushi

    Assistant Dean for Corporate Support at CBFS. He has a PhD in Management from University of Southampton, UK, a Master’s in Public Administration from the American University in Egypt and a bachelor’s Degree in Arts (International Studies) from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He joined CBFS with a proven track record of management and leadership experiences at different Ministries. His areas of academic specialisation are international studies, organizational behavior, human resource management, and public administration. He conducts training in leadership, soft skills (negotiation skills, customer relation management, customer service and behavioural skills).

  • Mr. Anis Moosa Al Lawati

    Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at CBFS. He has over 30 years of experience in teaching and training in Oman, UAE and Jordan. His areas of specialization include management, marketing, operations research and human resources. He had previously held many key positions including Deputy Dean of Oman College of Management and Technology, Director of Training and Learning at Dubai Institute of HRM, Acting Director General at IBFS, Director of Training at Institute of Public Administration and Acting Dean at CBFS. He did his BA at Rollins College in Florida, USA in 1986, and did his MBA at Yarmouk University in Jordan. He conducts training in selling skills, marketing, customer service, anti-money laundering and behavioural skills.

  • Dr Ashok Kumar Nair

    Head of Academic Support Centre at CBFS. He has handled English language and academic skills classes, has language skills training and teaching experience of more than three decades in India, East Africa and in Oman. He was associated with a UN programme in Ethiopia, which involved community teaching during the great famine of the 80’s. His doctoral study was on communicative language, and his Master’s in English. He holds IELTS Training certification and a diploma in teaching English. He is a member of the World Association for On-line Education (WAOE) and International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAIP). He conducts training in business communication, business writing and advanced business writing.

  • Dr. Binu James Mathew

    Assistant Professor and former Deputy Head of Academic Quality, CBFS. He has 23 years of teaching and research experience in English language and related subjects. Previously, he worked with the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. He holds PhD from IIT Bombay, MA and M.Phil. (Research) in English, MBA in Customer Relationship Management and is certified as a Cambridge University CELTA-qualified teacher. He conducts training in business communication, customer service and presentation skills.

  • Mr. Hasinul H Siddique

    Senior Lecturer in Economics at CBFS. He is the author of a wide range of research papers and articles used in the teaching of economics. He has an MA and M.Phil. in Economics. He conducts training in micro-economics and macro-economics.

  • Ms. Joyce Noronha

    Senior Lecturer at CBFS. She is a Certified Company Secretary and has completed her M.Phil. (Commerce), LL.M, MBA (Finance), PGDHRM and PGDBM. She has six certifications of CISI, UK - Oman Securities Market Regulations, Global Financial Compliance, Combating Financial Crimes, Risk in Financial Services, Managing Operational Risk in Financial Institutions and International Certificate in Wealth Management. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner. She has varied experience in the corporate world specializing in corporate governance, corporate finance, BPR, organization restructuring, HR & IR and as in-house legal advisor and faculty in India. She conducts training in law, risk management, internal audit, compliance and anti-money laundering.

  • Dr. K. Rajesh Nayak

    Director - Training at CBFS. He has over two decades of banking and training experience. His last position was Head of Training and Development at National Bank of Oman. He is a double Graduate in Commerce and Law, a double Post Graduate in Commerce and Business Administration (MBA) and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He has a Doctorate in Business Administration. He holds various professional certifications including Omega Credit Skills Development, Creative Train the Trainer, NLP for Trainers, Kirkpatrick Certificate in Training Evaluation, besides Introduction to Investments, Islamic Finance Qualification and International Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management of CISI, UK. He also has a Certificate of Occupational Assessment (Levels A and B) from British Psychological Society and Advanced Diploma in Credit from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland. He has attended Executive Development programs on Leadership and Strategy by Queens School of Business, Canada. He conducts training on corporate credit, risk management, law, anti-money laundering, finance and accounting.

  • Dr. Khurshid Khan

    Head – Staff Planning & Development at CBFS. He has over 3 decades of professional experience across retail, corporate, international and Islamic banking as well as HR, learning & development in India and Oman (Bank Muscat and National Bank of Oman). He has a Doctorate as well as master’s degree in Business Administration, M.Sc. in Mathematics and Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking & Insurance. He holds many professional certifications including CAIIB, CISA, Certificate in Occupational Assessment (Level A & B) of British Psychological Society (UK), International Certificate in Wealth Management (ICWIM) and Islamic Financial Qualification (IFQ) of CISI, UK, Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA), Omega Credit Skills Development Certificate and Certified Expert in SME Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He is a member of advisory board of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (UK) for ‘Islamic Financial Qualification (IFQ)’ and ‘Fundamentals of Islamic Banking & Finance’ certifications.

  • Mr. M. Gnanendran

    Lecturer at CBFS. He is a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant of UK. He started his career in accountancy by obtaining training through KPMG Sri Lanka. He worked in many commercial organizations including Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka. He conducts training in finance, accounting and internal audit.

  • Mr. Mirza Jamal Ahmed

    College Registrar at CBFS. He has 15 years of extensive experience in administration, teaching, training and research & development. He has practical expertise in project management, network administration, database designing, e-commerce solutions, e-learning technologies, information security concerns, cloud computing, and MS Office Applications. Prior to joining CBFS, he served at prestigious educational institutions in Oman and Pakistan. He holds MS/M.Phil. Computer Science degree and relevant professional certificates. He conducts training in MS office applications.

  • Mr. Mohammed Farzan

    Lecturer at CBFS. He is a graduate with honours in Business Administration from University of Colombo and is a member of CIMA - UK. He also holds CIMA Diploma in Islamic Finance. He is the first certified trainer by CISI-UK in Oman and holds their following certifications - Introduction to Securities and Investment, Certificate in Wealth Management, Certificate in Investment Management, Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) and Advanced Wealth Management. He conducts training in finance investments and wealth management.

  • Mr. Mughees Shaukat

    Head of Islamic Finance Unit at CBFS. He is a fintech specialist from MIT, USA and a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) from AAOIFI He also holds MSc in Islamic finance from INCEIF, Malaysia and the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) of CISI, UK. He has worked as a researcher in INCEIF & ISRA. He is also an honorary lecturer in the London School of Islamic Banking & Finance, member of the Editorial Board of The Global Islamic Finance Magazine. U.K. and member of the Research Council, Oman.

  • Ms. Priya Gopal

    Lecturer at CBFS. She is an IT professional, with extensive exposure to project management, system analysis and design, networking and software training. She holds a Master degree in Computer Applications. She earlier worked as a software engineer, besides academic experience in software development and applications. She conducts training in MS Office applications.

  • Dr. Roslin Lazarus

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. She has over 16 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and post graduate students in Oman and in India. Her areas of specialization include financial accounting and management accounting. She has a Master ‘s degree and PhD in Commerce. She also holds the Introduction to Securities & Investment Certification of CISI-UK. She conducts training in finance and accounting.

  • Mr. Saji Edathil Luka

    Senior Faculty at CBFS. He has over 18 years of teaching and research experience at different levels both in India and abroad and conducted various MDP programmes. Before joining CBFS, he was working as a Senior Core Faculty HR at St. Francis Institute of Management and Research in Mumbai, India. His core training areas are in human resources and behavioural skills.

  • Dr. Salman Nusrat

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. He has over 15 years of teaching experience. He has been a resource person for various MDPs and FDPs organized by top businesses and corporates. He conducts training in foreign exchange, fixed income securities and corporate credit analysis.

  • Mr. Sayyed Mohammed Danish

    Director of Undergraduate Studies at CBFS. He has done Bachelors in Engineering, Master in Management Studies and M. Phil in Operations Management. He is a member of European Operations Management Association (EUROMA) and Production and Operations Management Society (POMS). He also holds membership of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Project Management Institute (PMI), US. He is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) from ASQ. He is also certified Manager of Quality/Organisational Excellence (CMOQ/OE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA), Certified Quality Technician (CQT) and Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) from ASQ. He has also achieved his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI. He conducts training on service quality, quality management, operational excellence and project management.

  • Ms. Sona Lolu

    Assistant Lecturer at CBFS. She has 10 years of experience in teaching and practicing law in India and Oman. She is specialized in Criminal Law - LLM and Corporate Law - MBA. She is a registered member at the Bar Council of India. Apart from these, she has gained extensive experience in varied areas of law such as criminal law, corporate law, commercial law, labour law and consumer law. She conducts training in laws.

  • Ms. Sujata Suresh

    Lecturer at CBFS. She has more than 13 years of experience in lecturing. She is specialized in areas of financial accounting, taxation and auditing. She is a Cost Accountant and has a master’s degree from Madras University. She conducts training in accounting and finance and corporate credit analysis.

  • Ms. Sujatha Bhat

    Senior Lecturer at CBFS. She is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, India and holds M. Com degree. She has over 2 decades of experience in auditing, accounting, taxation and teaching. She is a program leader for ACCA and CAT at CBFS. She conducts training in finance, accounting and budgeting.

  • Mr. Surendra Kumar Varshney

    Director – Information Technology. He has more than 40 years of expertise in IT education, IT consulting, IT system development, and IT Infra-structure development His areas of interest include web technology, databases, network, e-learning. He also served as a member of the curriculum committees to review /design the syllabi of IT degree programs in India and Oman. He had previously held key positions including Head of Educational Technology Centre at Al Musanna College of Technology Oman, Sr. Systems Analyst at Computer Centre Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh India. He did his Master and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from AMU India.

  • Mr. Vaheed Z. Ubaidullah

    Acting Director of Professional Studies at CBFS. He earlier worked as an Associate in the area of Finance and Control at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. He has a decade of teaching professional and Master programs, consulting and research experience at the national and international levels. Being conversant with MS-Excel, SPSS, SAS, Eviews, Matlab and @ risk from Palisade, he conducts training in the areas of treasury, investments and risk management He has published papers at referred national and international journals. He has done Bachelors in commerce and MBA (specialised in finance) and is currently pursuing his PhD (in the area of risk management) and FRM from GARP. He has 4 certifications of CISI, UK - Global Securities, Operational Risk, Derivatives and Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ).

  • Dr. Zaynab Nadim

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. She has over 16 years of teaching and training experience in Iraq and Oman. Her area of specialization include Strategic Management, Marketing Management, HR Management, and Change Management. She got her Master of Science in Business Administration and her Doctorate in Management. She is an author for a published book in Total Quality Management and her second book is forthcoming. She conducts training in retail banking, marketing and behavioural skills.
