Our Trainers

  • Mr. Anis Moosa Al Lawati

    Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at CBFS. He has over 30 years of experience in teaching and training in Oman, UAE and Jordan. He had previously held many key positions including Deputy Dean of Oman College of Management and Technology, Director of Training and Learning at Dubai Institute of HRM, Acting Director General at IBFS, Director of Training at Institute of Public Administration and Acting Dean at CBFS. He did his BA at Rollins College in Florida, USA and MBA at Yarmouk University in Jordan. He conducts training in selling skills, marketing, customer service, anti-money laundering, fraud control and behavioural skills.

  • Ms. Aisha Al Mandhari

    Lecturer at CBFS. She has over two decades of diverse expertise in HR consultancy/Office administration and academics. She graduated with high distinction from Griffith University, Brisbane Australia with Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Sultan Qaboos University. Her areas of training expertise are human resource audit, performance management, change management.

  • Ms. Dina Al Maimani

    Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies & Research Department at CBFS and Strathclyde Business School’s Oman Centre Manager & Administrator. She comes with more than 16 years of experience in varies fields (Media & Marketing, Editing & Translation, Investment Banking and Education Management). Ms. Dina holds a master’s in business administration (with Merit from University of Strathclyde-Business School (Awarded Project Distinction in Entrepreneurship Studies) and holds a BSc in English Language & Literature from Sultan Qaboos University. She is Oman tutor of MBA class “Exploring the International Business Environment – Scenario Planning & Strategy”.

  • Mr. Hibathul Careem Feroskhan

    Assistant Lecturer at CBFS. He has over 15 years of experience in teaching and training in Oman, Seychelles and Sri Lanka. His areas of specialization include finance, accounting and performance management. He has an MBA with merit from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He did his BBA at the University of Colombo and completed ACCA, UK. He is handling the professional courses for ACCA, teaching Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Advanced performance management. He holds professional certifications including a professional certificate in marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Global Financial Compliance from CISI, UK. He conducts training in corporate credit analysis, financial accounting, management accounting and financial analysis.

  • Dr. K. Rajesh Nayak

    Director - Training at CBFS. He has over 25 years of banking and training experience. His last position was Head of Training and Development at National Bank of Oman (NBO). He is a double Graduate in Commerce and Law, a double Postgraduate in Commerce and Business Administration (MBA) and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has a Doctorate in Business Administration. He holds various professional certifications including Omega Credit Skills Development, Creative Train the Trainer, NLP for Trainers, Kirkpatrick Certificate in Training Evaluation, besides the Introduction to Investments, Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) and International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (ICWIM) of CISI, UK. He also has a Certificate of Occupational Assessment (Levels A & B) from British Psychological Society and Advanced Diploma in Credit from the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), Scotland. He has attended Executive Development programs on Leadership and Strategy by Queens School of Business, Canada, K3 Performance, UK and Bridges Consulting, Singapore. He has been the reviewer for a book on Management published in USA. He conducts training on corporate credit, risk management, law, anti-money laundering, finance and accounting.

  • Mr. M. Gnanendran

    Lecturer at CBFS. He is a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant of UK. He started his career in accountancy by obtaining training through KPMG Sri Lanka. He worked in many commercial organizations including Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka. He conducts training in finance, accounting and internal audit.

  • Mr. Mirza Jamal Ahmed

    College Registrar at CBFS. He has more than 17 years of experience in administration, teaching, training and research and development. He has practical expertise in machine learning, image recognition, forensics analysis, project management, network administration, database designing and administration, e-learning technologies, information security, cloud computing, and general-purpose applications. He is certified in Managing Cyber Security from CISI, UK and completed Oracle DBA and Developer from NICON. He holds MCS and MS/M.Phil. Computer Science degrees and currently perusing PhD in IT. He conducts training in MS Office applications.

  • Mr. Mohamed Farzan

    Lecturer at CBFS. He is a graduate in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Jayawardenapura with a merit grade and is a member of CIMA - UK. He is an adjunct faculty for University of Bradford and Local counsellor for University of Strathclyde. He also teaches for Advanced Financial Management for ACCA. He holds CIMA Diploma in Islamic Finance. In addition to his lecturing career, he has industry exposure working for leading companies such as UTOPIA group in Sri Lanka as part of its finance function He is the first certified trainer by CISI-UK in Oman and holds their following certifications - Introduction to Securities and Investment, Certificate in Wealth Management, Certificate in Investment Management, Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) and Advanced Wealth Management and financial advice. He conducts training in areas such as finance, investments, wealth management and Islamic Finance.

  • Dr. Roslin Lazarus

    Assistant Professor in Professional Studies and UG Department at CBFS. She has over 20 of experience in teaching financial accounting and Management Accounting modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Oman and in India. Her areas of specialization include financial accounting and management accounting modules. She holds a master‘s degree in Commerce and PhD in Commerce. To her credit are published papers in international journals and research papers presented at international conferences. She holds professional certification in the “Introduction to Securities & Investment (International)” paper of CISI, UK. She has completed the IFRS certificate course from AICPA & CIMA. Has earned a GFIN status by successfully completing standard setting Professional Banking Fundamentals (PBF) of FINSIA’s (Australia) and Chartered Banker Institute, the UK in Aug 2020 and has also completed Business Banking module of Certified Professional Banker course of FINSIA (Australia) in February 2022.

  • Dr. Salman Nusrat

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. He has over 15 years of teaching experience. He has been a resource person for various MDPs and FDPs organized by top businesses and corporates. He conducts training in foreign exchange, fixed income securities and corporate credit analysis.

  • CA. Sujatha Bhat

    Senior Lecturer at CBFS. She is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, India and holds M. Com degree. She has over 2 decades of experience in auditing, taxation and teaching. She is a program leader for ACCA and CAT at CBFS. She conducts training in finance, accounting and budgeting.

  • Mr. Vaheed Z. Ubaidullah

    Acting Director of Professional Studies at CBFS. He earlier worked as an Associate in the area of Finance and Control at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. He has done Bachelor’s in commerce and MBA in Finance. He has 4 certifications of CISI, UK - Global Securities, Operational Risk, Derivatives and Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ). He conducts training in finance, risk management, treasury and investments.

  • Dr. Wisal Al Balushi

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. She began her career as a software developer at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), and subsequently appointed as the Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Office (SQU). She has earned her PhD in Management Information System from the University of Nottingham, UK and has over 20 years of experience in teaching MIS, Databases, Library Information Systems, and Digital Business. She holds a professional training certificate (train the trainer), and ITIL Foundation Certificate. She conducts training in higher education quality assessment and audits, MS Office Applications, and advanced presentation skills.

  • Dr. Yaqoob Al Ghatrifi

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. He has PhD in Education from the University of Reading, MA and BA in TESOL (both from the University of Leeds). He has vast teaching experience of over two decades. He is a registered external programme reviewer for the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA). His training expertise is in the areas of business communication, business writing and management.

  • Mr. Yousuf Al Khanbashi

    Lecturer at CBFS. He has a master's degree in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education from University of Manchester. He holds a bachelor's degree in instructional and teaching technologies from Sultan Qaboos University. His work Experience is 10 yrs. at Oman College of Health Sciences (OCHS), 2 yrs. at German University of technology (GUtech), and a guest lecturer at ASU. He has professional courses in Computer Literacy (ICDL & IC3), English Language and Teaching methods from SQU, GUtech and University of Queensland Australia. He worked in training and developing HR in fields of technology use.

  • Dr. Zaynab Nadim

    Assistant Professor at CBFS. She has over 16 years of teaching and training experience in Iraq and Oman. Her area of specialization includes Strategic Management, Marketing Management, HR Management, and Change Management. She got her Master of Science in Business Administration and her Doctorate in Management. She is an author for a published book in Total Quality Management and her second book is forthcoming. She conducts training in retail banking, marketing and behavioural skills.
